Working with Women with Disabilities Workshops

Designed for health, allied health and community frontline workers who may work with women with disabilities DV-alert workshop enables participants to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, respond appropriately and refer the case if necessary.


During the two-day practical workshop, you'll learn how to:

  • recognise the signs of domestic and family violence,
  • respond to someone subjected to domestic and family violence, and
  • what best practice methods should be used to refer people on to the most appropriate support service.

To be eligible to attend, participants must work or volunteer in the health/allied health, community,  education, childcare and frontline capacity roles supporting the general community. Preference will be given to applicants who work or volunteer with women with disabilities.
