Mental health care

Lifeline Tasmania's mental health first aid programs are taught using evidence-based training authored by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and conducted by accredited trainers.

In Mental Health First Aid Training we teach participants how to assist people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Our trainers are competent in the four core Mental Health First Aid training courses designed for specific population groups.
