This two-day course will help participants understand the impact of trauma across the lifespan and that each individual’s response to trauma is unique.

Day One will cover types of traumatic events, the neurobiology of trauma, and possible reactions in the short and long term.

Day Two will embed this knowledge in practice and consider the impact of childhood trauma; intergenerational trauma; trauma in the context of culture; and vicarious trauma as these emerge in client stories. Participants will leave the course with a toolbox of practical resources.
