At Lifeline Tasmania we provide a range of training options for the community through our Community Education and Training and OzHelp Programs. How to book training varies according to the program:

Community Education and Training 

Our team of highly skilled and experienced Community Education Trainers, deliver suicide awareness and prevention training to hundreds of people every year.  As part of our commitment to achieving a Tasmania free of suicide, we proactively engage with members of our community and a wide range of organisations to build knowledge and resilience.

Crisis Communication Skills  - is tailored individually for workplaces, clubs and other organisations, this course provides people with the skills needed to communicate effectively in a crisis situation. Delivered over the course of a single day, this course of instruction will appeal to organisations and individuals working in close contact with the public.

Cost: The cost varies as the content and delivery will be tailored to the organisation's needs.

Suitable for: Employees of public facing organisations and providers of community services.

OzHelp Tasmania

Lifeline Tasmania OzHelp's primary focus is suicide prevention and social capacity building within the building and construction industry, but also provides training and support to other industries and workplaces recognising that overall workplace mental health and well-being is not being fully addressed.

All bookings for OzHelp training need to be made via the OzHelp website.

DV-alert

DV-alert is a nationally accredited training program that enables participants to recognise signs of domestic violence, respond with appropriate care and refer cases to relevant support services. It is supported and fully funded by the Department of Social Services and is available to participants at no cost.

All bookings for DV-alert or DV-aware workshops need to be made via the DV-alert website.

Request to reschedule - If you cannot attend the course but would like to attend another course please contact us, clearly stating the date of your current booking and your preferred alternative date and location.

Cancellation with more than 21 days’ notice  - The full cost of the course will be refunded to you (less third party fees and charges).

Cancellation with less than 21 days’ notice - 50% of the course cost will be refunded to you if less than 21 days’ notice is provided.

Cancellation with less than 7 days’ notice - No refund provided if less than 7 days’ notice is provided.
