Our training approach

Our team of highly skilled and experienced Community Education and Workplace Trainers, deliver suicide awareness and prevention training to hundreds of people every year.  As part of our commitment to achieving a Tasmania free of suicide, we proactively engage with members of our community and a wide range of organisations to build knowledge and resilience.

Our programs are delivered by trainers with a minimum Certificate IV Training & Assessment qualification.  Course content is regularly updated to ensure that participants are informed of the latest developments.

Through Lifeline Tasmania's Programs, OzHelp Tasmania and Community Education and Training, we provide a wide variety of training options for workplaces and individuals, including:

  • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
  • ASIST 11 Tune Up
  • SafeTALK
  • SALT Suicide Prevention Training 
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace

Request to reschedule - If you cannot attend the course but would like to attend another course please contact us, clearly stating the date of your current booking and your preferred alternative date and location.

Cancellation with more than 21 days’ notice  - The full cost of the course will be refunded to you (less third party fees and charges).

Cancellation with less than 21 days’ notice - 50% of the course cost will be refunded to you if less than 21 days’ notice is provided.

Cancellation with less than 7 days’ notice - No refund provided if less than 7 days’ notice is provided.
