Variety of volunteering roles:
Telephone Crisis Supporters
Southern Tasmania
Crisis Supporters go through a thorough application and training process long before they take their first call. Once accepted, you will complete training to become a qualified Crisis Supporter.
Lifeline Tasmania Crisis Supporters are part of a national team that help prevent suicide across the country.
Lifeline Shop Warehouse Assistants
Not keen on a face-to-face volunteer role? Perhaps you might consider becoming a volunteer Warehouse Assistant. These roles provide a vital
service sorting goods and getting them ready for sale. If you like to fossick for little treasures, you will love to sort. An excellent way to boost your CV.
Lifeline Shop
Retail Assistants
Lifeline Tasmania has shops across the state that are always looking for volunteers to work as retail assistants. You don't have to have retail experience, just a friendly personality, and a desire to learn.
Chats: Calls Volunteers, Hosts, and Drivers
Looking for an opportunity to help Tasmanians stay socially connected within the community? Our Chats programs offers a variety of social engagements individually and in a group setting. Volunteers are needed to make calls to participants, drive the bus and host on group outings or visit a participant one-on-one in a social setting of their choice.
Volunteer Visitors
If helping older Tasmanians on a more personal level is more your style, the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) needs volunteers to meet regularly (weekly or fortnightly) with older Tasmanians living in residential care homes or living at home and receiving a Home Care Package.
