We are looking to fill a Warehouse Assistant volunteer position in South Tasmania.
Volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporters
Crisis Supporters go through a thorough application and training process long before they take their first call. Once accepted, you will complete training to become a qualified Crisis Supporter. Lifeline Tasmania Crisis Supporters are part of a national team that helps prevent suicide across the country.
Chats Volunteer Activity Host
We are looking for applicants to fill various volunteer positions to assist Chats participants in engaging in a variety of social activities and ensure the activity runs smoothly.
This role will also accompany the Chats driver to complete participant pickups as per the activity run sheet, escorting participants from their front door to the bus/car.
Volunteer Admin Assistant
We are on the lookout for volunteer Administrative Assistance across all of our locations to provide administrative support to the Lifeline Tasmania programs and services.
Successful applicants will be required to attend a Lifeline volunteer induction, relevant program training and on-going training as required.
Chats Drivers
Chats is a social support program that offers a large variety of social activities each calendar month, providing transport and opportunities to get out of the house, meet new people, share new experiences and develop friendships.
We are on the lookout for drivers with a full licence to volunteer as Chats Drivers in South Tasmania.
Student Crisis Supporter
Notably in the role of a Crisis Supporter is your ability to empathically and respectfully connect with help-seekers. This is sustained by the personal attributes that the Crisis Supporter brings to the helping relationship.
Successful applicants will be invited to enrol into the Crisis Supporter Workplace Training course.
Chats Calls Volunteer
The main responsibility of this role is to help participants to develop the social connection through listening and conversation, and to encourage participants to be actively involved in different activities (regular outings, bus trips, Chats clubs, Art group, etc.) to increase their social connections and independence.
