The Push Up Challenge 2026
Lifeline Tasmania is inviting individuals, schools, workplaces and community groups to take part in The Push-Up Challenge 2026.
Over 24 days, participants complete 3,307 push-ups. Each push-up represents a life lost to suicide in Australia in 2024. The challenge uses this number to raise awareness of mental health and support services while raising funds for Lifeline Tasmania's critical, life-saving work.
Anyone can take part, and the challenge can be modified to suit different abilities, including reduced targets or alternative movement.
All the funds raised stay in Tasmania and directly support:
-
Crisis support for people in distress
-
Training for volunteer crisis supporters
-
Community mental health and wellbeing programs
These services help ensure people can access support when they need it most.
